A long lived, hardy native woodlander with
large hanging yellow bells in early Spring. The flowers have a
charming "twirling" form and last for several weeks. Height is
12"-18" and spread is about the same. This plant combines
particularly effectively with yellow foliage spring Hostas such
as H. 'Twinkles' or H. fortunei 'Albo-Picta'. It is also
beautiful with early blue flowers such as Mertensia virginica
(Virginia Bluebells). After blooming the green foliage remains
attractive throughout the growing season.
