Garden Trends Symposium October 7th

On Saturday, October 7th, Boerner Botanical Gardens will be hosting a full day gardening symposium entitled "Garden Trends". Seven midwestern gardening experts will be giving presentations on a range of topics including Ornamental Grasses, Captivating Conifers, Native Plant Communities, Winterizing Garden Beds, Fall & Winter Pruning, and Garden Harvest Year-Round. Zannah Crowe, our Monches Farm Horticulturist, will be presenting a program on Creating a Garden of Four Season Interest. A lunch prepared by Bartolotta's is included in the registration cost. Faerie Tales

July 16th Daylily Garden Tour

On Sunday, July 16th the garden of our long-time employee, Zannah Crowe, will be one of nine gardens included in the Daylily Society of Southeast Wisconsin (DSSEW) Summer Garden Tour. This Garden Tour is free and open to the public and features varied gardens in the Milwaukee area that share daylilies as their highlight. Touring local gardens is a great way to gather ideas and see mature specimens of plants that thrive in our area. Wisconsin Garden Expo, Feb. 10-12
Sunday, January 15th
We are excited to again be participating in the Wisconsin Garden Exposition, taking place February 10th through the 12th at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison. This is an outstanding exposition that offers hand-on workshops, excellent seminars, and a wealth of garden related exhibitors. Monches Farm will be exhibiting there (you'll find us in "booths" #232-233) and our own Zannah Crowe will be presenting a seminar entitled "Gardening for Birds & Butterflies" on both Saturday and Sunday.
