Blooming This
Week (4th week of August):
Anemone vitifolia
(syn. tomentosa) 'Robustissima'
("Grape Leaf Anemone")
This is a wonderful plant
for the autumn garden with its soft silvery-pink flowers borne atop
24"-36" tall dark wiry stems in August & September. The heavily
textured leaves are attractive throughout the year and the flowers
provide a "final fling" of delicate fall color. In our experience
this is the most reliably hardy of the fall blooming anemones. It is
a robust grower and eager increaser. Enjoy it and share the extra
with friends! |
