ABUTILON Flowering Maple Maple-like leaves display unique yellow mottling. Tangerine hanging bells. Can be overwintered as houseplant.

ACALYPHA Chenille "Red Hot Cat's Tail". Pendant flower clusters up to 18 inches in length are raspberry red to deep pink. Great for hanging baskets.

AGERATUM Floss Flower Mounding habit, evenly covered in purple/blue flowers all summer.
Shorter varieties are good for massing in the landscape and taller varieties are good for cutting.

ALTERNANTHERA Joseph's Coat Burgundy/bronze to purple leaves. Good foliage accent plant for containers.

ANGELONIA Summer Snapdragon Upright spires of orchid-like flowers flowers from June through frost. An excellent performer that is often overlooked because it doesn't start blooming until June, when most gardeners have already completed their annual shopping. Deserving of far greater popularity.

ARGYRANTHEMUM Marguerite Daisy An abundance of daisies over lacy foliage. Deadhead for continuous bloom.

BACOPA/SUTERA Bacopa Small white flowers on semi-trailing stems. Popular for hanging baskets and the edges of mixed containers.

BEGONIA We love Begonias! Their versatility and vigor are noteworthy. We will have a good selection of varieties (see complete list with link at top of page) that will include those grown for their flowers as well as those grown for their ornamental foliage.
Begonias are low light plants that can be overwintered as houseplants.

BIDENS Carpet Tickseed Finely divide fennel-like foliage covered with gold single daisy-like flowers. Pinch to promote branching.

BROWALLIA Bush Violet One of the best flowering annuals for partial shade containers. An excellent performer.

BRUGMANSIA Angel's Trumpet Highly fragrant (especially in evening) long hanging trumpet shaped flowers. Woody stems to 6' tall. Overwinter indoors.

CALENDULA Pot Marigold Brilliant golden yellow flowers are edible and can be used fresh in salads or dried and used as a replacement for saffron in cooking. Also can be used to create natural dye. And...they're pretty and make a good cut flower!

CANNA Large showy leaves bring tropical feel to patio or garden. Dig and overwinter tubers in basement.

CASTOR BEAN Huge red toned leaves on tall stems to 8'. Very bold garden presence. Showy red spiny fruit in fall.
Caution: ALL PARTS ARE HIGHLY TOXIC.

CERATOTHECA African Foxglove We discovered this plant a couple of years ago and have included it in our gardens ever since. Elegant Foxglove-like flowers in shades of soft lavender.
It's always fun to have one of those "What is THAT?" plants in the garden!

CLEOME Spider Flower We've narrowed our selection of Cleome to the one we feel is vastly superior to all others : 'Senorita Rosalita'. Steady season-long bloomer on shorter, sturdy, thornless stems stems. Great for container culture.

COLEUS/SOLENOSTEMON Coleus Coleus, wildly popular during the Victorian period, have made a comeback and are retaining their well deserved newfound popularity. Incomparable for adding foliage interest to containers. Sun tolerant but prefer partial shade.

COLOCASIA Elephant Ears "Elephant Ear" is the descriptive common name for this spectacular and enormous foliage plant. Thrives in moist soil. Plant can be brought indoors and grown as houseplant over winter or bulbs can be stored dormant in cool dry place and replanted in spring.

COREOPSIS Annual Tickseed Daisy-like multicolored flowers all summer.

COSMOS Wiry stems bear an abundance of pink, red, white or orange flowers all summer through hard frost. Excellent cut flower.

CUPHEA Aptly named 'Bat Face' is a favorite here at the Farm. The unique bright red flowers accented with rich purple make an excellent flashy addition to mixed containers.

CYPERUS Papyrus Amazing dramatic foliage accent. Breathtaking when backlit!
'King Tut' will grow to 5' in height if given adequate moisture. For a smaller scale container try 'Baby Tut'.

DAHLIA Gorgeous flowers in an amazing range of colors. The 'Mystic' series also offers rich chocolate purple foliage. A favorite! Dig tubers and overwinter in basement.

DICHONDRA Silver Falls The name 'Silver Falls' is very descriptive of this plant. Truly creates waterfall effect of silver foliage cascading out of hanging baskets. Can trail to 48".

DOROTHEANTHUS Succulent variegated foliage on trailing stems. Tiny unexpected fluffy red flowers in summer. Will grow in full sun or full shade. Excellent!

EUPHORBIA Flowering Spurge 'Diamond Frost': Cloud-like loose mass of tiny white flowers all summer. Excellent in every way!

FUCHSIA Beautiful pendant flowers in a range of colors and forms. Trailing & upright varieties. Hummingbirds love 'em!

GAURA Whirling Butterflies Dainty dancing flowers on tall wand-like stems.

GERANIUM / PELARGONIUM Fancy leaf and scented* varieties as well as the old fashioned blooming ones.

*Scented Geraniums have aromatic foliage in a range of enticing scents. Although all bloom most are grown primarily for their fragrant leaves.

GRASS - ORNAMENTAL Patience is a virtue with annual ornamental grasses and the wait pays off with an outstanding autumn display!

HELIOTROPE Clusters of fragrant flowers. Deadhead for continuous bloom.

HERBS A patio herb garden allows you to simply step outside your back door to collect the very freshest ingredients for your summer cooking. Yum.

IMPATIENS New Guinea Large showy flowers and attractive glossy foliage.

IPOMOEA Sweet Potato Vine Large lobed foliage in dark purple, bronze or brilliant chartreuse on long trailing stems. Excellent for tall containers or hanging baskets.

IRESENE Bloodleaf Thickly textured glossy foliage is red with darker veination. A great foliage accent plant.

IVY / HEDERA Low light foliage plant for containers or houseplants.

LANTANA Flower clusters open one color and age to another, giving a two-tone floral effect. Deadhead for continuous bloom.

LAURENTIA Mound of blue star-like flowers all summer. A favorite.

LOBELIA Trailing stems bear small fan shaped flowers in shades of blue. We grow varieties selected for heat tolerance.

LOTUS Parrot Vine Bright orange/red flowers resemble parrot's beaks. Delicate needle-like soft silver foliage. Trailing habit.

MANDEVILLA A tropical vine with glossy green foliage and showy trumpet shaped flowers all summer.

MARIGOLD We carry several low growing bushy varieties with attractive ferny, aromatic foliage and profuse flowers all summer.

NASTURTIUM A cheerful cottage garden favorite. Flowers & foliage are edible and can be added to salads for colorful greens.

NEMESIA Lush tropical colored flowers start in early spring.

NICOTIANA Flowering Tobacco Flowers are particularly fragrant in the evening hours, making these a good choice for the Moon Garden.

NIGELLA Love-in-a-Puff Spidery sky blue flowers followed by attractive bi-colored puffy seedpods. Popular for drying.

OSTEOSPERMUM African Daisy Daisy-like flowers in brilliant luscious colors that almost don't look real. A cool season bloomer that dislikes the heat of mid summer.

OXALIS Ornamental Clover Clover-like foliage is black to coppery orange. Nice foliage accent for mixed containers or as single specimen in decorative pot. Can be overwintered as houseplant or tubers can be dug in fall and stored in cool, dry dormancy

PEPPER Ornamental "Black Pearl' : Clusters of black glossy fruit against dark colored foliage. Striking accent, especially when contrasted with bright colors.

PETCHOA / CALITUNIA A hybrid between Petunia and Calibrachoa, exhibiting the best characteristics of each parent. Combines the vigor and resilience of Petunia with the color range of Calibrachoa.

PETUNIA The old fashioned Petunia has been fine tuned for modern day display and there are some exciting new color introductions and performance improvements. Scott & Matt visited Petunia trial gardens in 2013 and were very taken with what they saw in the advancement of this humble garden staple. A new favorite!

PHLOX Clusters of fragrant flowers midsummer through fall. One of Bette's favorites!

PLECTRANTHUS A coleus cousin with silver, variegated or purple/red silky foliage. We love these as foliage accents in sunny containers.

POLYGONUM Kiss-Me-Over-the-Garden-Gate Hanging ropes of raspberry colored flowers on 6'-10' stems in late summer into fall. A show stopper!

SALVIA Flower spikes in shades of blue & purple as well white and pink. Long blooming and reliable. Hummingbirds especially like the varieties with funnel shaped flowers

SANVITALIA Small golden yellow flowers all summer on clean mounding foliage. An underused workhorse that is well loved here at the Farm.

SCAEVOLA Fan Flower Fan shaped flowers in profusion all summer. Great for hanging baskets in sun or shade.

SETCRESEA Purple Heart Rich purple glaucous lance-like leaves.

STREPTOCARPELLA An African Violet cousin with purple-blue flowers and textured foliage. Avoid watering foliage. Low light plant that will grow as a houseplant.

SUCCULENTS We LOVE tropical succulents. Our selection includes Aeonium, Crassula, Echeveria, Sedum and many others.

TALINUM Jewels of Opar Tiny pink flowers and bright red glossy seedheads float on wiry stems above succulent chartreuse basal foliage. A favorite!

TITHONIA Mexican Sunflower Large scale late season bloomer that provides a brilliant flash of orange to the summer garden.
Butterflies LOVE it! Good cut flower.

TORENIA Clown Flower Funnel-like flowers all summer on trailing stems. Excellent low light performer.

TULBAGHIA Society Garlic Dainty green & white variegated foliage topped with lavender/pink flowers in summer. Garlic scented foliage. Edible but grown primarily as an ornamental. Will overwinter indoors in bright light.

VERBENA No annual is better for attracting butterflies than the Verbenas! Varieties range from compact mounds to tall willowy wands.

Verbena bonariensis is our hands-down favorite.

VINE, ASARINA Snapdragon Vine Snapdragon-like flowers all summer on fast growing twining vine.

VINE, DOLICHOS Hyacinth Bean Vine Red tinged leaves on fast growing twining annual vine. Attractive purple flowers mature to deep purple/red ornamental seedpods.

VINE, IPOMOEA Cardinal Climber Small deeply lobed green leaves. Bright fire-engine-red funnel-shaped flowers. Great for bringing a ZING of red to your vertical structure. Very popular with Hummingbirds.

VINE, IPOMOEA Cypress Vine Although the funnel-shaped brilliant red flowers are nearly identical to the Cardinal Climber, this one has distinctly more refined foliage. Fine needle-like leaves and a more restrained growth rate make the Cypress Vine an ideal choice for showcasing a more decorative trellis.

VINE, IPOMOEA Morning Glory An old fashioned favorite. Large showy flowers open in earliest morning ans close by mid afternoon. Few flowers can rival the sky blue color of Ipomoea 'Heavenly Blue'.
Note: Can self sow aggressively.

VINE, MANETTIA Candycorn Vine Bi-color flowers look exactly like Candy Corn! Super popular for the children's garden.

VINE, MINA Firecracker Vine A riot of orange and yellow flowers in autumn.

VINE, THUNBERGIA Black-Eyed-Susan Vine Funnel shaped flowers borne all summer on fast twining vine. We will be carrying the color forms 'African Sunset' and 'Arizona Dark Red'.
