Leek Leeks have a mild onion-like taste. The edible portions of the leek are the white base and the light green parts of the leaves. One of the most popular uses is for adding flavor to stock.

Nasturtium Although not traditionally thought of as a vegetable, Nasturtiums are actually delicious and very nutritious! All part of the plant are edible. The flowers make a beautiful garnish and the foliage has a sharp, radish-like flavor and is rich in vitamin C and iron.

Spinach 'Red Malabar Climbing Spinach': While not a true spinach, this fast growing decorative annual vine has succulent leaves and stem tips that taste remarkable like spinach. Rich in vitamins A and C and a good source of iron and calcium. Can be eaten raw in salads, boiled, steamed, stir-fried, or added to soups, stews, tofu dishes, and curries.

Sorrel Sorrel (Rumex) is a perennial herb with a zingy, citrusy flavor. Use young leaves in salads to add a tart lemony finish or substitute it for lettuce in sandwiches to impart a zesty flavor. When cooked the tartness mellows and it is a wonderful addition to dishes featuring fish, chicken or eggs. Try simply layering sorrel leaves between fish fillets before baking or use it in sauces. Sorrel is also a a wonderful addition to soups.
