   Johanna's "Famous" Herb & Flower Cheese 
Terrine*
 
 
  (* Recipe adapted from Renee Shepherd of Shepherd's 
Seeds) 
 
 
   Cream Together:
 
 
16 ounces cream cheese, softened
3 sticks butter, softened
1 cup Asiago Cheese, grated 
   Mix into Above:
 
 
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
3 tbsp. dried basil
2 tsp. dried oregano
2 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
1/2 tsp pepper (white or black) 
   Mix into Above:
 
 
3/4 cup pecans, coarsely chopped
3/4 cup parsley, finely chopped 
   Also:
 
 
12 thin slices provolone cheese
Violets, Pansies or Johnny Jump-ups 
 Butter a loaf pan and line with foil.
Layer bottom of pan with provolone 
cheese slices,
then add a layer of soft cheese mixture and a sprinkling of 
flowers.
Continue to alternate layers, ending with provolone; about 5 layers.
Cover with plastic wrap and cool overnight.
Flip over, remove foil and cut in 
half garnish heavily with edible flowers. 
Note: I usually triple this recipe and use a 9" x 13" pan; cut 6 to 8 "layers" and freeze until needed (up to 8 months)
